As part of its Summer Institutes 2009 series, the Center on Race and Social Problems in the School of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh will host “Race, Hunger, and Food Insecurity." The Summer Institutes series examines the nature, extent, and patterns of racial and ethnic disparities in hunger and food insecurity-related problems. The sessions feature presentations, Q&A, break-out groups, and panel discussions with national and local experts. It is intended for researchers, educators, administrators, community leaders, policy makers, and practitioners.
