A seminar with workshops for Pennsylvania farmers’ market managers and representatives of communities planning to open a farmers’ market will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Lancaster, PA.
The workshops will include building capacity at farmers’ markets, recruiting producers, food safety, promoting the markets to the public and finding funding sources for markets.
     A Central Market Treasure Hunt will be held for promotion and display ideas from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Central Market, 23 North Market Street, Lancaster.  The workshops will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Southern Market Centre, 100 South Queen Street, Lancaster.
