Apple Cake

1 3/4 c. sugar

3/4 c. vegetable oil

3 eggs

2 c. flour

1 t. salt

1 t. cinnamon

1 t. baking soda

1/2 c. raisins and 1/2 c. nuts (optional)

8-10 apples

Pare, core, and chop apples into 1/2 inch pieces. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spread into greased cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
