Buttermilk Pie

Background ingredients: Butter, Eggs,
1-10" unbaked pie shell
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp flour
3 eggs - separated
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups Vale Wood Buttermilk
1/2 cup (melted) Vale Wood Butter
Chill pie shell. In a bowl mix sugar,salt, flour, egg yolks (that have been slightly beaten), buttermilk, butter & vanilla. Blend well. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until peaks form. Fold into custard mixture. Pour into pie shell.
Bake @ 425 degrees for 18 minutes then reduce heat to 325 degrees. Bake an additional 30 minutes (or until golden brown).
