Background ingredients: Vinegar,
Slice up pickling cucumbers so that you have about 2 cups worth.
Heat 1/2 cup of cider vinegar with 1/2 cup sugar just until sugar is dissolved; stir in 1-2 tablespoons of dried pickling spices.
Pour pickling juice over cucumbers in a non-reactive container; cover and refrigerate at least 24 hours.
I never knew it was so easy!
